Privacy

This application is a tool for collaborative estimation (Planning Poker). We keep data handling to a minimum. The most important points are outlined below.

Keep rooms private

Rooms are only reachable via their room id or invite link. There is no public directory. Anyone who knows the room id can join the room.

  • Only share room ids and invite links with people who should actually take part.
  • Treat room links like a password — whoever has the link can access the room.
  • Close rooms once the estimation session is finished.

Ticket tracker integrations

Jira, Forgejo and GitHub connections are set up per room by a moderator, and can be active at the same time. Credentials (e.g. email and API token, or an access token) are stored encrypted and used exclusively server-side to communicate with the connected instance.

Important: once configured, a connection's credentials cannot be viewed. Setup is write-only — you can (re)configure or overwrite a connection, but the stored credentials can neither be displayed nor edited. They are never returned to any client.

What data is processed

  • Display name, chosen avatar and votes within a room.
  • An anonymous identifier (anon id) to associate game progress (XP, level) across sessions. No login or registration is required.
  • Optionally, issue data imported from a connected ticket tracker (e.g. title/key) if the integration is used.
  • IP address, for technical security reasons.
